Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation Review

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation ($46) is basically an oil free liquid foundation in a solid compact form.  I’ve heard amazing things about Bobbi Brown foundations so when I saw this being presented on QVC, I knew I had to at least try it.  The nice thing about QVC is that you can send anything back within 30 days if you’re not completely satisfied.

This Bobbi Brown foundation comes packaged in a black plastic compact with flip top lid.  Inside the lid you’ll find a mirror, while hidden underneath the foundation is an application sponge.  I’ve had good luck with compact foundations before, especially when applied with my Sigma F80 flat top kabuki, so I have not used the sponge at all.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

I’m loving this new foundation!  Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation ($12.99) acts as your primer, concealer and foundation all in one easy step.  It comes in a range of 14 shades and contains broad spectrum SPF 20.

I have very oily skin so I’m always leery to try new foundations.  Most go back to the store so I’m sure to keep my receipts until I fully test them out.  The first day I wore this foundation, I applied it with my Sigma F80 flat top kabuki and wasn’t really thrilled with it.  For the following three days, I used my damp Beauty Blender sponge and instantly fell in love!

I’m so happy that this has a pump top on it which makes things so much easier and cleaner.  For the amount of coverage this foundation gives, it surprised me that is was so runny.  I  much prefer working with a thinner product than a thick one any day but I expected it to be thicker and heavier since it is an all in one product.  But don’t let that fool you.

Maybelline The Lifter Instant Age Rewind Lifting Foundation With Peptides

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind The Lifter Foundation ($13.99) has a built in smoothing primer inside.  It also contains peptides which are supposed to “firm skin instantly while the primer smooths lines and rough texture”.  Available in 12 shades, I chose Creamy Ivory.

The look of the packaging is really cool with the foundation swirled within the clear skin primer.  I wish the ratio of foundation to primer was a bit higher though, but more on that in a bit.  The bottle has a pump top that instantly dispenses the two semi-mixed together.  Just simply mix it a bit more with your fingertips or brush before applying.

revlon nearly naked foundation

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation ($10) contains broad spectrum SPF 20.  The formula is more on the thin side and less creamy and thick.  It comes in 16 different shades so you should not have trouble finding a match for your skin.  I chose (#110) Ivory for my fair skin.

I like to apply most liquid foundations with my Beauty Blender so that is what I used while testing this foundation out.  If you’re looking for a full coverage foundation, this is not it.  As the name suggests, the coverage is light to medium at best.  Hence the name, Nearly Naked.
