Ever since Fall has begun I’ve been leaning more on the darker nail polish side. This week I chose a dark navy blue color from my collection, China Glaze Up All Night. I topped the navy with one of the Finger Paints flakies from the Special Effects Collection from last winter. Motley is a clear based nail polish with blue and green reflective flakes.
This Summer, neon nail polish is hot, hot, hot! I went to Sally’s Beauty Supply yesterday in search of the new China Glaze Summer Neons collection. I wasn’t too impressed by the colors they had left but something new from Finger Paints caught my eye instead.
Warhol Wannabe is a bright neon pink color. I love it! No shimmer or sparkles, just bright creamy pink. Have you bought any neon shades of nail polish yet?
I’m really loving my nail polish this week! Flake glitter polish is the hottest trend for spring 2012 it seems. Finger Paints, available at Sally Beauty, came out with a collection of 5 flake glitter polish colors at the beginning of the month. I was able to snag two of the 5 colors, Asylum and Motley.
For this look, I started with two coats of China Glaze’s glossy black, Liquid Leather. I topped it off with two coats of the Finger Paints Asylum. This flake glitter is mainly red and blue but depending on the light, you get some purples and greens also. So cool!
