Benefit Fake Up Crease-Control Hydrating Concealer

Benefit Fake Up Crease-Control Hydrating Concealer ($24) is one of the most interesting products I’ve tried in a really long time.  It comes in three shades; light, medium and deep.  I chose the shade light for my fair skin and I’m in love!

I think this is one of those products you are either going to really love or really hate.  To be honest I really didn’t expect to like it as much as I do.  At first glance it looks like a tiny bit of concealer surrounded by a lot of moisturizer so I didn’t think it would do much.

Benefit Go Tropicoral lip and cheek kit

The Benefit Go TropiCoral Lip and Cheek Kit ($28) is one of four new sets available this fall.  Three of the sets are lip and cheek kits and one is a complexion kit.  Right now they can be found exclusively at Sephora.

The lip and cheek kits come in either Feelin’ Dandy (pinks), Go TropiCoral (corals), or Sugarlicious (nudes).  Each kit contains a liquid highlighter, a powder blush and brush, a cheek/lip stain, and a lipgloss.  The products are not full sized but more along the lines of a deluxe sample size.

Benefit Hervana Blush

January 6, 2012

Benefit Hervana blush

I’m loving Benefit’s newest boxed blush, Hervana ($28).  This blush consists of four shades; lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose and berry delight.  Once swirled together those shades produce a soft pink color.

If you’re a fan of bolder blush, this may not be for you.  It doesn’t give off a load of color which I like.  For my fair skin color, I like just a kiss of color.  Plus it has only a bit of shimmer and no glitter.  The shimmer just gives you a nice subtle glow.

To me this is the perfect blush for spring and summer.  Yes, I know there’s snow on the ground here but I gotta give myself something to look forward to.  So here’s to summer sun with a side of Hervana.

Get on board this holiday season and use your Ticket to Glossytown courtesy of Benefit.  This adorable kit contains six mini tubes of lip gloss and is available at Sephora and Ulta for $24.00.

Benefit Ticket to Glossytown

Ticket to Glossytown contains a nice selection of colors ranging from a light purple to a berry sparkle.  The set would make an excellent stocking stuffer or I could see tying one onto the outside of your gifts.  So cute!

I love these kinds of lip gloss sets because it enables you to test out a bunch of shades before committing to a larger tube.  One full sized tube retails for $18 so Glossytown lets you try 6 colors for a few dollars more.

These Benefit glosses all leave your lips super shiny.  The go on nice and smooth with no sticky feeling.  All of the colors have a slight fruity scent but it’s not overwhelming.

Ticket to Glossytown contains:

Kiss You – This looks purple in the tube but don’t get scared.  It applies as a nice light fuchsia pink color.

Foxy Lady – A rose pink color.

Spiked Punch – Vibrant coral color, highly pigmented and opaque.

Life On The A List – A pretty light pink color.

Nudie-Tude – A light nude.

So Frisk Me – Berry mauve shade.

kiss you, foxy lady, spiked punch, life on the a list, nudie-tude and so frisk me

All of these Benefit lip glosses have sparkle in them.  Some are very light like Kiss You, Spiked Punch and Life On The A List.  Foxy Lady, Nudie-tude and So Frisk Me contain a good bit of sparkle.  That is one negative that I can say about Ticket to Glossytown.  Even after the gloss wears off, you’re left with sparkle remnants stuck to your lips.

However, the glitter is not a deal breaker for me.  I’m glad I bought this set cause now I know to stay away from the colors that contain lots of sparkle.
