Ulta Exclusive Bare Escentuals BareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow Quad in "The A List"

Ever since Bare Escentuals released their BareMinerals Ready eyeshadow palettes I’ve been dying to try one.  However, none of the color combinations in either the eyeshadow duos or quads really spoke to me.  So last week while strolling through Ulta, I came across a new BareMinerals Ready eyeshadow quad in “The A List” ($30).  The colors were right up my alley so I scooped it up!

The A List Ready eyeshadow quad is exclusive only to Ulta.  The quad consists of these 4 colors:

  • Icebreaker – A frosty milky pale pink.  Works great as a highlight in the inner corner and under your browbone.
  • Fashionably Late – A light shimmery pink. I use this on the eyelid.
  • Swanky – A medium purple with very tiny flecks of pink shimmer.  Great for your crease color.
  • Black Tie Optional – A matte black, perfect as a liner.

These new BareMinerals Ready eyshadows are great!  I like them so much more than the original loose powder eyeshadows from Bare Escentuals.  They’re easier to use without making a mess and I think they are even a little more pigmented.  All of the colors in The A List quad have great color payoff, go on smoothly and blend nicely.

Bare Escentuals Magic Wand Brushless mascara

I’ll admit that the first time I saw the Bare Escentuals Magic Wand Brushless Mascara I was pretty skeptical as to how it would work.  I mean seriously, how could you possibly apply mascara without a brush to comb it onto your lashes?  So me being curious, I put it on my Christmas wish list and Santa brought it for me and I’m just now getting around to posting about it.

Surprisingly, I really love it!  Even though the mascara wand has no brush on it, the plastic is grooved from the tip to an inch down.  I really didn’t think those grooves would do much but they really grab your lashes and separate them.  And being that there is no bristles, you can really get into tight spots to get all your lashes covered.

One other thing I really loved was that you can even apply the mascara from the top of your upper lashes instead of just underneath.  That enables you to really get good coverage without getting any on your eyelids.  The small wand is perfect for your baby bottom lashes too.  Genius!

I’m really impressed with the coverage also.  It goes on nice and smooth with no clumping.  The grooves keep my lashes nice and separated while adding some good length to them.  I’m totally in love!

Bare Escentuals Magic Wand Brushless Mascara is a little hard to find but it is available on the Bare Escentuals website.  It retails for $15.00 which is a really decent price for a good mascara when compared to other high-end mascara brands.
