Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss in Lilys All Around ($5.99) is a hot pink gloss with bright pink sparkles in it. When you turn the tube slowly, it kinda becomes like a duo-chrome turning from pinks to light purple. It’s a bright and sunny color, perfect for Spring!
I bought Lilys All Round initially to go on top of the Maybelline Tigerlily Treat lipstick but it really can be worn alone. These Shine Sensational lip glosses are super shiny and not sticky at all. I love the way it smells too. It has a really sweet fruity almost citrus scent and a light candy like flavor.

Worn alone, it gives my lips a nice medium pink color. The pink sparkles in it are not obvious to the naked eye bit they catch the light and make your lips shine and gives them an almost purple cast. I love it! This is one of my favorite drugstore purchases I’ve made this Spring so far.

Lilys All Around - look at how the sparkles catch the light!
Don’t mind the darker lines in my lips, it’s not this lip gloss settling in the cracks. The lipstick I had on earlier in the day left my lines stained darker.
So what do you think of the Maybelline Shine Sensational lip gloss Lilys All Around? You can find it at your local drugstore or Ulta in the new Spring displays with several other available colors. I’m going to have to head back and re-look at the other ones now that I’m obsesses with this one!

Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick in Crystal Cut Coral ($8.99) is the perfect dose of bright coral pink color. If you’re looking to dip your toe in the coral pool this year but are afraid of reds and oranges, this color is probably perfect for you.
I’m not a fan of bold lipstick shades much past the medium pink stage but I’m trying to branch out past my comfort zone. But I’m starting slow so this Crystal Cut Coral is still safe in my mind. It’s a really pretty bright pink coral color in a frost finish.

I was worried about the Revlon Moon Drops frost finish but actually it’s not that bad. Up close you can see the frost but from farther away, it just looks shimmery and not in a bad 80′s way.
This lipstick stays put for quite a while also. Even after a few hours and drinking some coffee, it lingered lightly on my lips. And even after it was gone it looked like it left a nice pinkish stain on my lips. It is a lot bolder than I normally go but I like it.

I think Birchbox is on a pretty good roll lately. This month’s box was filled with some good stuff. I was worried for a couple of months that they were on a downward spiral but they seem to be coming back around.
After last month’s awesome Teen Vogue Birchbox, I was expecting not to like this one. But happily, this month’s Birchbox was really good! The theme of this month’s box is Natural Wonders.

Here’s what I got:
Weleda Pomegranate Firming Night Cream (0.23oz) – An interesting blend of Turkish pomegranate, jojoba and macadamia nut oils in a cream form to reduce wrinkles.

J.R. Watkins Foot Repair Salve (0.25oz) – A cute little tin of foot balm containing peppermint oil to refresh your tired, aching feet.

LIV GRN Fragrance – This eau de parfum sample is made from sustainable ingredients with orange and neroli. Smells amazing, really nice and fresh.

Alima Pure Organic Nourishing Tinted LipBalm (0.07oz, full size!) – This balm is made with plant butters and scented with organic peppermint oil. I received the color Rhubarb which is a nice medium pink color. It feels really great on my lips, makes them soft with a touch of color. This full size item sells for $7 at AlimaPure.com.

Beauty Extra:
Yes To Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes (8 travel towelettes) – Facial wipes to remove makeup and cleanse the skin. Made with a blend of apple, blueberry and lemon peel extracts.

I’m going to start off this post by stating that this is my least favorite MyGlam bag so far. I’m really disappointed in this month’s bag, so much so that I’m really considering cancelling my account. As soon as I felt the bubble mailer, I had a feeling I wasn’t going to be happy. It felt empty.
The first thing you’ll see is the bright pink, shiny makeup bag. So not my thing. Inside the MyGlam bag we got 5 items. The first two things are makeup brushes similar to the one we got last month. One is an eyeshadow brush and one is an eyeliner brush.

The next item is Dermstore’s Lip Quench, a moisturizing lip treatment. This has a slightly fruity smell at first but when I apply it, it smells like plastic. And on top of that, I received the Pur-lisse Lip Comfort last month which was almost exactly like this lip quench. At least this one has a slight pink color to it.

Next up is a sample sized (0.03oz) Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eyeliner pencil in the color Perversion, which is jet black. This sample is the only item that is so-so for me. I like the Urban Decay eyeliners but they never wear well for me. They’re so soft and don’t stay put on my oily eyelids. This jet black color will be a mess for me so I probably won’t use it.

Lastly we have a pair of false eyelashes that I’ll never use. I don’t wear false eyelashes so I have no use for these at all. I can’t even tell you more about them because they are in a foreign language.

Now for my little rant as to why I’m so disappointed. I subscribe for these sample services to get just that. Samples of products that I can try first before I buy them full size. I get that most people will really love getting the makeup brushes but to be honest, Michelle Phan getting a factory to make makeup brushes in mass quantities probably is costing pennies per brush. So of course she’s going to do that and make us feel like we’re getting a deal.
And product samples like these eyelashes are kinda worthless. Why do we ladies in the United States want to try eyelashes from another country that we can’t re-purchase if we love them? I want stuff I can try and buy! I don’t know…I just feel kinda duped. Like we’re gonna start getting things bought or made in bulk overseas for pennies. Or “gift cards” that nobody wants or uses like we’ve gotten several times before.

Maybe I’m overreacting. If you got this month’s MyGlam bag, let me know what you thought.
