L’Oreal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche ($9.99) is a new liquid lip color available in 16 different shades. The unique formula of this lippie contains five micro-oils to create that perfect lip. It’s supposed to “resurface and smooth lips like a balm, provides color impact of a lipstick, and gives a varnished 3-d shine effect of a gloss”.
When I first came across these in the store, I was confused by the packaging. It looked like a lipstick to me so I kept trying to pull off the cap like a dummy. After a few minutes I realized they were glosses and that the lids twisted off. Duh! I bet I looked pretty silly trying and trying to open it, lol.
The applicator is the soft doe foot type. This lip color applies just like a lip gloss. It has a silky smooth texture with a very glossy finish. The gloss has a nice amount of pigmentation. It’s not quite opaque but not ultra sheer also. The consistency is on the semi-thick side. It does not get sticky and does not feel slippery either.
I picked up two of the light pink shades; Rose Melody and Blushing Harmony. Rose Melody is a softer pink color while Blushing Harmony is a medium pink with hints of mauve. Both shades are very natural colors that work well for everyday.
I do really enjoy these. They make my lips feel buttery smooth and they fill in most of the lines on my lips and make them look smoother. What do you think?

OMG, I did the same thing with the caps, I’m glad I wasn’t alone. The texture of the gloss really does feel different.

I did the exact same thing! I finally just put it down and wandered off, I never figured it out, until now because you explained it! So you may have “looked” silly, I really AM silly. lol
