Well, I didn’t think I could be any more disappointed than I was in the Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse foundation but I was wrong. This Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam foundation ($10.49) is terrible!
Basically it’s the same concept as the Revlon mousse, air infused foundation packaged in a metal can. You’ve really got to shake this can a good bit or you’ll get white foam out with little pigment. Once you shake your arm off, dispense a walnut sized dollop onto the back of your hand.
You’ll notice that this Maybelline Dream Airfoam comes out fluffier and lighter than the Revlon Mousse foundation does. However, once you touch it, this one deflates to just about nothing! And it’s so thin and watery!
I applied the Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam with a brush and only got about half of my face done with the recommended amount. I had to use about twice as much as they say. And before I can get it all on my face, it’s drying up on my hand. At this rate I’m not even sure how long a can would last me.
The coverage of this Dream Airfoam foundation is barely there at best. It’s so thin that you get very light coverage that doesn’t conceal many flaws. If you have perfect skin and want something to just even out your skin-tone, then this may be ok for you. But I’m 36 years old and I’ve got plenty of flaws that I want covered.
With what little coverage there is, the finish is nice and smooth. It doesn’t shimmer like the Revlon Mousse and feels nice and light on the skin. I’m able to get a full days wear out of the Maybelline Dream Airfoam but that’s with a powder foundation over top for extra coverage.
Final Thoughts:
The Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam foundation may be a hit or miss depending on the person. I personally don’t like it because it doesn’t meet my needs. But some people might find it works ok with them as long as they like light coverage.

It clearly tells you to apply the product using your fingers. If your brush soaked up the product, of course there wouldn’t be enough to cover your face.
That’s true Cat but using my fingers would not make me like this product more. It still deflates to a thin watery foundation with or without using a brush. It just wasn’t a foundation I would use.
