Creole Chicken Wraps

Over the last few months I’ve been on a mission to reform my picky eater husband.  I’ve taken real strides toward exposing him to different foods other than just steak and fried chicken fingers which are his two absolute favorites.  And actually it’s been quite successful. In addition to trying new things, I’ve also been introducing new flavors and spices.  And to my surprise he’s taken a real liking towards spicy foods, much more than [...]

Using Leftover Halloween Candy: Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

October 29, 2010 0 comments

As I had previously predicted our trick or treat night ended up way earlier than actual Halloween night…4 days earlier!!  And even though we live in a residential neighborhood, we barely get any takers.   But I always fear that I didn’t buy enough candy so we end up with lots of leftovers.  Which isn’t really a bad thing, is it?! So with our leftover Reese’s peanut butter cups, I made some delicious cookies.  This [...]

Pizza Panini

October 26, 2010 0 comments

Yesterday was a busy day for me so I was in need of a quick dinner solution.  Luckily I had all the ingredients needed to make us some hot, crispy pizza paninis. All you need for this simple panini sandwich is some bread, sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.  Try not to leave the sauce on the bread too long before cooking it.  The bread gets a little soggy if you leave it sit too long [...]

Fresh Baked Homemade French Bread

I swear I’m addicted to bread.  I don’t know if it’s the Italian in me or what.  And warm, fresh baked bread is like my drug.  Can’t…get…enough!! So the other day when I made the delicious Corn and Red Potato Chowder, I knew I had to make a quick and easy homemade bread.  I have been saving this French bread recipe to try for a while now.  And it didn’t disappoint.

Corn and Red Potato Chowder

Boy the weather here in Western PA has really taken a turn for the extra chilly this week.  We’re expected to have lows in the 30′s this weekend, eek!  I’m so not ready to dig out a jacket yet. I can definitely tell when the nights are getting colder by the amount of pets in our bed.  We usually only have our yellow lab in bed with us but the past few nights we’ve been [...]

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffin Tops

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffin Tops

October 21, 2010 1 comment

As you can see, I’m still pumpkin crazy here!  This time around I made some moist pumpkin muffin tops with chocolate chips added in. I can’t believe Halloween is just around the corner.  Where is this year going so fast?!  This weekend I’ve gotta spend some time preparing for Trick or Treat night…not that I know when it is or anything. Our neighborhood is so screwy when it comes to Trick or Treat.  We don’t [...]

Chocolate Milk Ice Cream

October 15, 2010 1 comment

I don’t know why I never thought of this before but Natalie’s Killer Cuisine gave me a great idea.  Using chocolate milk to make creamy and delicious chocolate milk ice cream! This chocolate ice cream turns out so good.  It’s got a nice smooth chocolate flavor that reminds me a lot of a Wendy’s chocolate frosty.  It couldn’t be any easier to make or taste any better in my opinion!
