I can’t believe it’s that time to start our holiday shopping. This year has gone so fast and now it’s Black Friday already! While I’d love to take advantage of awesome Black Friday sales and discounts, I refuse to participate in the madness. I’m simply not patient enough for that.
Luckily many stores are offering good deals online this year too. Retail Me Not has assembled a whole section just for Black Friday specials. On this page you will find tons of links to special offers and sales to explore. There are even a few select coupon codes for use in some online stores. Good luck to anyone who chooses to fight the crowds. I’ll be snuggled up on my couch with my trusty laptop instead.

Let me just say that I’ve never cooked a turkey before. As you can imagine, I’m a little nervous to give it a try sometime. But I may just give it a whirl this Christmas. While looking for a little turkey cooking guidance, I actually came across some video tutorials that may be helpful to newbies like myself.
Martha Stewart: Under Martha’s “Everything Thanksgiving” section, there are 4 helpful videos to get you up to speed on the basics such as carving, stuffing and brining a turkey.
Epicurious: This site hosts over 16 video guides on everything from turkey prep and cooking to making homemade holiday pies.
Food Network: There are over 80 different videos to help you prepare for Thanksgiving on Food Networks website. Anything you need to know about appetizers, desserts, leftovers and more.

Good luck to anyone like me who’s never taken the turkey cooking leap until now. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Pets seem to automatically be drawn to laser pointers. My pets on the other hand are not. I don’t know why but they could care less. I’ve seen cats firsthand that go bonkers chasing a laser pointer though. To the point of panting and exhaustion!
If you have a dog or cat that loves the laser pointer, you may want to spend a few bucks on the FroliCat Bolt. The great thing about this product is that you can turn it on, set it down and walk away. It projects the laser on it’s own in patterns. You can even set a 15 minute timer to keep them occupied after you leave the house! And it’s only $19.95 plus shipping. Make sure you order early if you want this for a Christmas gift.
Visit FroliCat to watch the demo video and order your pet their next favorite toy…
