I thought that the under 40 inch versions were *more* than large enough. Apparently, I don't know what I'm talking about because we need at least a 48 inch so that the tv will be viewable from 14 feet out... don't even get me started on the surround sound. :) My husband and I had the exact same conversation this weekend.
