You Never Know What You’ve Got Until It’s Gone

September 17, 2008

I’m having a run of terrible luck recently.  Last Friday my broadband service went down and my provider told me it was nationwide and they did not know when it would be back up.  By Sunday night, I was gettin the shakes.  You don’t realize how much you depend on the internet until you don’t have it.  My husband sat on hold Sunday for 30 minutes before we finally gave up.  By Monday morning, I needed to get back to work so I forced myself to get back on hold.  I was on the phone for 62 minutes!  Ugggh!  Thankfully after all that time, I was finally back up and running.  That was until Monday afternoon…..  That’s when the virus hit…

Luckily, I didn’t crash until late Monday afternoon.  One of the last things I needed to do for work has crippled my computer ever since.  Thankfully, my husband has his own computer that I can use during the day while he’s at work.  The site I visited graced me with not only about half a dozen viruses but spyware that locks up my computer.  I was lucky enough to rid myself of the viruses but the spyware refuses to loosen it’s grip.  I don’t know what to do.  I can’t even take any steps to fix it because it locks up before I can run Spybot.  If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate the help.
