Why, Oh Why Can’t I Sew?

Over the years I have tried my hand at many a craft, but I never could quite master sewing.  Believe me, I’ve tried.  Don’t get me wrong, I can sew a straight enough line and mend torn clothing.  Making something look good enough to give to someone or sell is never gonna happen.  I’ve come to accept that.  So instead, I buy the things I wish I could make.

Primitive sewn items are my weakness.  I can spend hours on the weekends searching thru Ebay’s pages of prim treasures by talented crafters.  I love the odd and quirky things that I won’t find in the local stores.  Especially for Halloween and Christmas.

This evening, I came across a seller that I can only dream of buying from.  The husband and wife team make the most fabulous, unique prim dolls I have ever seen.  It’s too bad that I could never justify the prices that the auctions are going for.  Most pieces are selling for well over $150.00 each.  One recently sold for over $600.00!  Yikes!  I think my husband would have a heart attack!

Even though most of us could not even dream of buying one of their pieces, I thought you may enjoy looking thru their stuff too.  I have included some pics of a few of their auctions that are ending this weekend along with links to both of their blogs.
