So, I must say that the last month or so has been extremely frustrating for me. My computer has been running at a snail’s pace and locks up on me constantly. Anything I was working on was lost to the great abyss. When you work at home from your computer, that’s not good. Not good at all.
The other evening I asked my husband if he had a hammer upstairs. He asked me, “What do you need a hammer for”? So I told him, “To fix my computer”. Yes, it’s that bad!!
We have Sirius satellite radios in our vehicles and for any other Sirius lovers, you know you can listen in your home online too, for free. So, naturally if I want to listen to the radio while I work, I sign in and listen to it online. Well, apparently the snail doesn’t like listening to the radio. Instead, it decides to lock up and I get to listen to one or maybe two words repeat over, and over, and over, and over………. Oh My God!!! That is the exact time I go looking for the hammer. I’m gonna fix this thing once and for all!
It seems to me to be getting progressively worse. So, I need to take action now before I do something I’ll regret. So I slowly put the hammer down and start searching for solutions.
That’s when I find that I’m not alone. There are others like me. And they are survivors to boot! I can’t believe it, it’s been right under my face all along. Lurking there, making me feel all secure with it’s little glowing yellow icon. Curse you Norton Anti Virus 360!!!
That never would have crossed my mind if I had not found other Norton customers complaining of similar circumstances like mine. The solution….uninstall. What!? I paid good money for some crap I can’t use now? Well, that’s par for the course for me. I figure I’ll uninstall it and if it’s not that, I’ll just reinstall.
Cross my fingers, I’m going in….. Holy moly, it’s purring like a newborn kitten! My baby is back and in tip top condition! All these weeks of tearing my hair out for one simple solution. I can’t believe it.
It’s been a few days since I removed mister trouble making Norton and the snail has shriveled up and died. Needless to say, I won’t be buying Norton ever again! So long…..see ya…..good riddance! I’m not sad to see you go and I won’t miss you one darn bit. You’re no longer welcome in my home.

hMMM. I’ve never heard that about Norton! My laptop was driving me nuts… just three years old yet it ran so slowly I could never get anything done. Just got a brand-spankin-new Lenovo (ThinkPad) and it’s zippy as can be. I’m much happier. Good luck with the changes!!
