This past weekend I tried a new cookie recipe that I found in my Taste of Home baking book.
I bought this giant recipe book at Sam’s Club and it has over 400 pages and 100′s of recipes. This particular recipe is found on page 26 under German Chocolate Cookies. It is also found on their website, click here.
I renamed my cookies because the recipe calls for a german chocolate cake mix but I used a devil’s food chocolate cake mix instead and I left out the raisins.
They turned out so soft and delicious. They remind me of a cross between brownies and chocolate chip cookies. The recipe only calls for a few ingredients and is super quick and easy.
I wish you got more cookies out of each batch though, I only got 2 dozen. I will definitely be baking these ones again, maybe even for the holidays.

Gee, I want to have a bite.I love chocolate cookies like Famous Amos but these look so delicious.
