20 Of My Favorite Suppliers For Candle and Soap Making

May 27, 2008

I have mentioned before that I also have a side business of making my own soy blend scented candles and tart melts.  I have spent the last 4 years trying different supplier’s wax, wicks and oils.  If anyone reading this is like me, it can be frustrating finding the best, most reliable supply companies online.  It takes lots of time and effort to search thru thousands of site entries that offer supplies.  I have compiled this list of 20 suppliers that I order from on a consistent basis.  They offer the best quality and selection of scent oils I have found.  Many others exist, but this is my own personal opinion of the best ones.

Rachel, you will find lots of great stuff to try out. I think some of the sites even have starter kits for sale. Be aware though, it’s a lot messier than cooking. The wax is hard to remove and the dyes stain counter tops, floors and cabinet fronts. I learned that the hard way before I moved my operation to my basement. Good luck, it can be lots of fun!

I agree with Rachel – this sure makes it easy for those crafters out there. Very nice list!
