Social media seems to be all the buzz lately. There are so many conversations surrounding the benefits of using social media as a method of marketing for your blog or business. I have recently started using Mixx to submit articles of interest and to make new connections with fellow bloggers. I was lucky enough to have one of my readers submit one of my articles to Mixx the other day. That was when I first realized that social media sites can be of real value for generating new traffic. I am a fairly new blogger and any new traffic is a bonus for me.
There are plenty of social networking sites out there to try. I have previously visited other sites but Mixx seems to offer the most value. Participating in these sites can be a bit time consuming but well worth the effort. With only one of my articles submitted; I can already see that the longer I keep participating, the greater the results.
The best part of social media sites is that they are a free form of advertising. So if you have a limited budget and you want to get more exposure, give social networking sites a try. You may just make a few friends along the way.
